Music and Choir Director
Jamestown United Methodist Church is seeking a Music and Choir Director for approximately 20 hours per week.
The Music and Choir Director works collaboratively with the senior pastor, organist, pianist, choir members, and other worship leaders to plan and prepare music that supports meaningful worship.
Responsibilities include directing the adult choir, leading weekly rehearsals, selecting and preparing anthems and other special music, and coordinating music for Sunday worship. The director will also prepare the choir for special services and events, including the Christmas Cantata, Christmas Eve, or services during the Lenten season, and other seasonal worship opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience directing vocal music, the ability to work with musicians of varying skill levels, being warm and dependable and display a collaborative leadership style.
